My favorite photo apps for mobile!
My friends, today I’d like to share a few of my favorite apps. I use these pretty much everyday on my mobile device. I have an iPhone but I am sure they are also available for Android users. I do all of my editing for clients on the desktop but I like to do a bit of a moodier edit on my social media, because of that I like to have the flexibility of editing fast and on the go. I also like to plan my feed a few posts ahead, I often refer back to the grid to make changes when I’m not near my desktop. I also love being able to take a photo on the spot, do my favorite edit and share on my grid. I use several apps but these are my top favorites for editing, managing and sharing content. I recommend them all and hope that they make your workflow and process a bit easier!
LIGHTROOM MOBILE
This is the app I use the most, it has incredible editing power as far as what you can do on mobile versus on the desktop version. More often than not, this is the app that I use right before I post my work on my Instagram page. I simply upload my personal preset to the app and with a click and few adjustments I am able to give any photo I capture, my favorite vibe and boom, ready to post! This app is FREE to use on mobile devices, but the desktop version is not. If you use the desktop version too, you are able to sync them, making the experience more streamlined, this is specially cool for my content people.
TEZZA APP
Guys, who doesn’t love Tezza! If you don’t yet know who she is, look her up, I think you’ll love her too. She has been a huge inspiration as a content creator, so when she launched the app I was stoked to try. You’re able to edit photos and videos using this application and can add cool effects too. I use it mainly to add effects to short videos that I share on my social media. I specially love the stop motion effect and the frames. Also, if I’m in a hurry and would like to edit a photo for my personal use, I go into this application or Ohrangutang Studio because they both have amazing presets loaded into the interface that are super cute and flattering to all types of photos.
OHRANGUTANG STUDIO
Oh man, these guys! My fellow Venezuelan creators, I’m so proud of what they’ve built and this app is totally amazing! You are able to edit both videos and images with the option of adding “flavors” to either and I love because here you can get really creative with the edits. This app gives you a lot of freedom to play and explore different looks. I love the film presets that are available within the app and the effects as well. It’s super easy to use and the interface is beautiful. Definitely in my top favorites because of all the different looks you can achieve with just one app.
PLANOLY + UNUM
These two apps have editing capabilities but that is not what I use them for, I use these, mainly UNUM, to plan my feed. I’m visual so I want to be able to see my grid and plan the posts that will be shared next. I love matching the vibes and colors of my images to create a pleasant aesthetic. That’s where these two apps come in, both are great. Planoly is a paid application while UNUM has a basic option that can be used for free.. Both applications do a lot more than help with grid planning, but that is what I use them for personally as of today.
TAILWIND
Tailwind is an app that essentially tells you the best times to post, among other things like being a post scheduler. These times are specific to your account and audience. I heard great things about this app, so I have been giving it a try. I use it to find out the best times to post and even for that you have to take it with a grain of salt, nothing is absolute when it comes to posting times, specially on Instagram at this stage in their evolution. Who knows anymore right? haha but this app is a great way to explore this option, try to find your best time to post after you do some research and go from there. You can use the basic features for free, which I love!
UNFOLD
I love this app! This one is used mainly for creating beautiful stories for instagram by using pre-designed templates but it can also be used for creating frames on your photos. I use it on my grid here and there but mainly for Instagram Stories. I really like that the creators often release new packs so you can find templates that appeal to you and your aesthetic. There are over 200 styles to chose from. I use the paid version but they do have a basic / free option.
